Lexmark Colour All-In-One Laser Printer 3 Series (MC3326i)
Great little laser printer

I am moving on from an inkjet for which I was continually replacing full cartridges that the printer claimed were empty, so wanted to try a laser.
This is a good looking, compact (but heavy) unit. I like the white two-tone front and the screen is a nice and bright LCD that is intuitive to use.
Setting up on a Mac was as simple as plug and go - all the ink was pre-installed. I got an initial message about waste toner full when I started up but this went after first use. The doors and lid are a little lighter and flimsier than what I would have preferred, but not unacceptable.
I would have also liked a desktop app and maybe they are available on Windows. This made scanning a little cumbersome as I had to go through the Settings menu to find Printers and Scanners. It's not so much of an issue as my use is mostly printing.
The printing is very fast and good quality for the price. So far it has been used for work, school and photo printing (regular paper but want to try photo paper). The image and text quality is good - sharpness, colour rendition and contrasts and not overly saturated or wrong hues as some printers produce. However this is not a photo quality printer - it's an office printer. For office and school work it is very good. The printouts are not weighed down by ink or risk smudging as you can get with inkjets.
Supposedly there is a fax on it, but... yeah. Replacement cartridges are not as cheap as ink jets, but hoping 1500 page capacity gets me a long way. Overall I am very happy with this as it ticks all the boxes.
